Lift your head up!

I was awakened a little after one this morning, so I got up and came into the living room and listened. I had my eyes opened but had my head lowered. God suddenly said, "Lift your head up!" I did and as I looked upward that's when He blessed me with a vision.

I first started to hear crickets; they were very loud. I then heard frogs making their sounds mixed in with the sounds of the crickets. Suddenly, I found myself standing not far from a body of water. It was nighttime, but the moon and stars gave plenty of light to see. I started to walk toward the water and when I did a beautiful wooden pier appeared. I walked out onto it and continued walking. The walkway went all the way out to the middle of the body of water.

When I got to the end I sat down and suddenly I had a cane pole in my right hand. Without giving it a second thought I lowered the fishing line in the water and quickly caught a fish. I pulled it up and turned, putting the fish into a fishing basket that was behind me, to my left. I did this a couple times, then stood up. I walked over to the fishing basket and started to pick it up. As I picked it up and started putting my arms through the straps so I could carry it. The basket turned into what looked like oblong folded maps. They were bundled together, tied to what I was carrying. I noticed when I had it strapped to my back, it was very heavy. I then started to walk, making my way back on the pier. I noticed as I walked that on both sides of the pier, there were small boats. There was someone in each boat and as I walked past them, they held things out toward me. They were trying to sell me things as I walked past them on the pier, but I ignored them.

Once I got to land, I walked over to where I was before and took what I was carrying, the folded maps off my back. I sat it on the ground and untied the bundle. When I did, one by one, someone walked up to me. Without giving it a second thought, I reached down, picked up one of the maps and handed it to the person. I did it over and over, then the vision ended. God then gave me a verse. Having no idea what it said I picked my Bible up and found it. "Let us stay true to what we have already attained." (Philippians 3:16).

We must stay true to who we are in Christ. Stay true to our God given gifts. When we do this much will follow. We must not compromise or conform to mans ways. That's what the people in the boats on each side of the pier were about, what they were doing. They were SELLING GOD, NOT TELL ABOUT GOD, compromising, forming to mans ways. God gave me one verse to go with what He showed me, and that verse says to stay true to what we have already attain.

May we do just that! Stay true to who we are in Christ. Not compromise, not give in to what's being sold as we walk with Him. It is so easy to do and like I have heard Pat speak about a few times. What was just a tiny compromise (space), just a millimeter, before you know it can become inches, then feet, then yards. Suddenly where you were at one time, where you were staying true, a great divide has become between you and God and His Word.
