Those eligible to receive the booster include:  All adults aged 50 years and over.Those aged 5 to 49 years in a clinical risk group, including pregnant women.Those aged 5 to 49 years who are household contacts of people with immunosuppression.Those aged 16 to 49 years who are carers. The autumn Covid-19 booster programme is set to start in the week beginning 5 September with care home residents among the first to receive the booster dose. The NHS will invite other eligible groups to book appointments from 12 September onwards. You can find out more here.  [Download image]  The Department of Health and Social Care will also be widening the offer of the free flu vaccine to more eligible groups. This includes: All adults aged 50 to 64 yearsSecondary school children in years 7, 8 and 9, who will be offered the vaccine in order of school year (starting with the youngest first)We will share more information on the flu vaccine with you when it becomes available. The Covid-19 vaccine is currently available to the following eligible groupsEveryone aged 5 and over can get a 1st and 2nd dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.People aged 16 and over, and some children aged 12 to 15, can also get a booster dose.People aged 12 and over who had a severely weakened immune system when they had their first 2 doses, will be offered a 3rd dose and a booster (4th dose). Find out more. The spring booster is still available to people aged 75 and over, people who live in care homes for older people, and people aged 12 and over who have a weakened immune system.Visit the Hackney Council website to find a full list of local vaccination clinics and pharmacies offering the Covid-19 vaccine.
