Playhouse Theatre Academy is seeking individuals that are passionate about theatre and education to apply for the role of Teaching Artist for Summer 2022.
Working in coordination with the Director of Education, Teaching Artists will both design and teach classes for students in grades K-5. We are especially seeking teaching artists for the following programs/dates:
Young Actors: Playmaking in Simsbury, CT. The program will run Monday-Friday. June 20-July 1, 9:00-3:30.
Kids on Stage: Myths and Magic in Simsbury, CT. The program will run Monday-Friday. July 11-22, 9:00-3:30.
Young Actors: Playmaking in Hartford, CT. The program will run Monday-Friday. July 11-22, 9:00-3:30.
Ideal teaching artist candidates will
•be motivated, energetic, and organized.
• have a strong professional background in acting, musical theater, or other areas of the theatre.
• have experience with improv and devised theatre techniques.
• have experience teaching children K-5.
• have experience in rehearsing and directing/choreographing performances
Diverse candidates encouraged to apply.
Pay rate: $500/week.
