Noseems, many people most likely have no idea what they are. They are micro size, only about 0.03 inches long, biting insects. You don't see them until later when the irritation starts to happen on your skin. That's when the fight starts to get rid of the irritation.
That's what happen for some when it comes to the enemy, satan. He slowly inches his way into people's lives, slowly pulling them into the world and its ways. He irritates them in whatever way he can. It may be through a person, a thing, or many other ways. Like the noseem, satan will irritate and aggravate. He knows how to push people's buttons. In other words, the enemy knows what to bait your hook with. He knows what gets to you. Yes, I know they say we shouldn't speak about him. That we shouldn't acknowledge him. The thing is the enemy is real and he wants nothing more than to irritate you, get you upset, angry, and the many other ways not of God. There is a verse that comes to mind as I am writing this that pretty well explains who the enemy is.
Ephesians 6:12 "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this [present] darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) places."
Whatever comes our way we need to praise the Lord through it, but we also need to let the enemy know what he will not do. When something irritates us, something starts to make us mad, when something or someone starts to push our buttons, or does something to us, we need take authority over it. Luke 10:19-20 "Listen carefully: I have given you authority [that you now possess] to tread on serpents and scorpions, and [the ability to exercise authority] over all the power of the enemy (Satan); and nothing will [in any way] harm you. Nevertheless, do not rejoice at this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven."
Next time something like that happens, tell the enemy, get behind me satan! That you will not take the bait. You will not allow him to irritate you, aggravate you, make you angry or mad. That you are a child of God and start praising the Lord.
