A storm-borne Bluebird finds succor.

What must it be like? For the person of fame to lose their glitter when the icing has been licked from the cake? It could (will?) happen to anyone who finds themselves performing in the spotlight by choice or chance. Entertainers, public speakers, lofty preachers...butchers, bakers, or candlestick makers. When lush grass become dry weeds. Flowers of vibrant colors fade, wither and wilt.

When -

Flying high into the stormy din,

falling low to the silence below.

The audience of my peers

Have become lost among the weeds

And if I go looking for them

I may become deceived -

again.

Brief, is it not?

Ah, yes! All earthly fame, power, and riches are very brief, indeed!

What is this I hear you whisper?

("It is true too, of the unknowns,

powerless, and poor.")

Interesting.

You have in mind life is very brief while still endowed with great potential?

A life is wasted having never been curious to investigate from Whom it came, or for what purpose He created human life in particular?

Hmm…I must say I do agree. A very good reflection/observation. And pregnant with purposeful potential. A shame how easily aborted.

he blooms like a flower of the field.

"You whisk them away in their sleep;

they are like the new grass of the morning—

in the morning it springs up new,

but by evening it fades and withers." (Psalm 90:5-6)

Pass me not, O gentle Savior

Hear my humble cry!

While on others thou are calling

Do not pass me by!

Heaven above,

Hell below,

Earth in the middle

with its wisps and billows.

Which will draw you like the strings of a fiddle?
