I would want my child back

I am aware that many portions of society deal with out-of-wedlock pregnancies. It is especially difficult for parents of underage couples. I didn't like how her parents and aunt handled it. They never considered her feelings at all, just the embarrassment for them. Now for my Amish head-scratcher: If she hadn't been baptized or joined the community, how could the community judge, shin, or discipline a non-church person?

Eight Years Ago…
At the tender age of sixteen, Hagar King falls in love. She is certain all will go perfectly with her fifteen-year-old beau, Enoch Yoder. But she is wrong—very wrong. Hagar falls pregnant and is shipped off in shame to give birth to a beautiful baby girl. Under protest, her child is snatched away. Enoch's family leaves the state, and Hagar does not hear from him again.

Present Day…
