Welp, I've had some pretty killer migranes these past couple days and I think I'm coming down with some crazy sickness again. It's the type of headache that splits the noggin right down the middle and makes your eyes hurt and get all watery too - part of it might be a bit of a fever too. Sadly, I haven't fully recovered from the last crud I had had either - I'm still coughing and hacking nasty mucusy garbage up. It feels like one thing after another with no real time to relax, recover, or heal from any of it...just a bing-bang-boom scenario.

I was watching a couple of my siblings tonight while my mother and the others went to bible study. I tried taking it a little easier and ended up falling asleep when I took the kids up to bed - probably before them too! We had the house clean and chores done, so we watched Minions and some of UP before I took them to bed.

Night time seems to be the worst when it comes to these headaches and sickness crud. My nose feels like it's burning, and I can barely taste, so I can't sit down and enjoy my hot chocolate or any good food! I just wanna relax in peace and not deal with that y'know? I couldn't even look at a screen without my eyes hurting so bad, so my writing is now a day off too! I quickly typed up a few sentences earlier so I wouldn't forget them...and I'm glad I didn't! Reminds me of my movie article days and how I'd always carry a piece of paper with me so whenever the Holy Spirit helped me with an idea, I could quickly jot them down. Shower and sleep times were the worst for many reasons - water, no light, sleepy - you can understand I'm sure. I dabbled in song writing some as well, and that had the same results! One plus side about us having phones like we do nowadays, you can do all that without a pen and paper, it's right there!

After I've been writing on my laptop for the past couple weeks now, I don't ever want to go back to writing on my phone again. I love being able to ACTUALLY type on keys! I've missed it a lot (Thank You Jesus and thank you Sweetheart)! It's been so much fun, I can do a lot more than just texting, and I can get more done WAY quicker than I could before! It's like living and serving the Lord - probably the most difficult thing, yet the most rewarding you'll ever do!

Sometimes I feel like people forget how available God is to us. Catholics miss out on having that real relationship with Christ like we do. People are always striving to do works and thinking that's how they get Jesus' love. Christ literally died for our sins, reconciled us to Himself, and restored that relationship we once had, before sin separated us from eachother in the Garden. All we have to do is accept that precious gift, and walk in obedience to Him every day. It's as simple as that.

"For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also." < James 2:26.

The Lord is there searching, knocking, and calling us to Him. We don't have to reach out by picking up a phone, texting, putting a disc in, doing dishes first, making sure we eat a certain way, or have the best house or lifestyle....because He's right there - ALWAYS with us and ALWAYS available!

It's as simple as talking. Outloud, in our heads, in song, in writing, with tears...however you want to talk to the Creator, you can do it. BUT, He shouldn't ever be our last resort! We were made to praise and give the Lord glory!

"Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." < 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.

There isn't any special guidelines or things you have to do pray/talk to God either - no bead counting or going to another man to ask for forgiveness of our sins. Isn't that amazing? Just like talking to a friend...but Jesus is always listening!

When's the last time you talked with the Lord? Are you a "praying without ceasing individual" or are you more of a "I pray when things get tough" type of person? How can you increase your prayer life?

Lord Jesus, help us to pray more often and to talk to You more! Remind us how easy it is to talk to You. Even if it's gibberish coming from our mouths, You know our hearts and exactly what we're saying. Thank You for dying on the cross for our sins O God, and restoring to us the ability to freely come to Your throne, and lay every burden we may be carrying, at Jesus' feet. You took it all away for us O Lord, and we praise Your precious and so holy name! Jesus' name we pray, AMEN!!
