Here is Mass for the Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time from Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bilton, Rugby.

Entrance Antiphon: Save us O Lord our God! And gather us from the nations, to give thanks  to your holy name, and make it our glory to praise you.

First Reading: A reading from the prophet Jeremiah

I have appointed you as prophet to the nation.

Response: Psalm 70. My lips will tell of your help

Second Reading: A reading from the letter of St Paul to Corinthians. There are three things that last: faith, hope and love; and the greatest of these is love.

Gospel Acclamation: Alleluia, alleluia! I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, says the Lord;  no one can come to the Father except through me. Alleluia!

Gospel: A reading from the holy Gospel according to Luke. Like Elijah and Elisha, Jesus is not sent to the Jews only.

WALKING TOGETHER CONSULTATION MEETINGS: There has been a rather disappointing  response so far to the invitation to join us for a Zoom meeting on Thursday 3rd February  at 7pm. If you wish to take part, please let us have your email address and we will inform you of  the details of the meeting including what we will be discussing and how to take part. Details  please to sacredheart.bilton@rcaob.org.uk. This is open to members of both parishes.

We are preparing a short questionnaire on these matters so as many parishioners as possible can  participate in this process. This will be available soon.

COVID – NEW GUIDANCE FROM THE BISHOPS' CONFERENCE

Please be fully vaccinated as this reduces possibility of death and serious infection with Covid 19. If you have symptoms of Covid 19 you should stay at home and not attend Church.

The main form of virus transmission is via personal oral or nasal aerosol. Those attending an act of  worship may continue to wear a face covering (both mouth and nose) in the Church building.  There is no need for formal social distancing but be sensitive to the needs of others. Transmission  from surfaces is minimal so use of hymn books, mass sheets etc can be resumed.

The Sign of Peace may be offered again, if felt appropriate, a bow may be more appropriate than  physical contact at the moment. Holy Communion is to be given under one kind (the Sacred Host).

Congregational singing may continue but there is a general encouragement to wear face coverings  while singing though not everyone will feel able to do this.

Those participating in the life of the Church need to hold in balance the need for personal safety  and taking responsibility for that safety.

ENGLISH MARTYRS CATHOLIC PRIMARY SCHOOL We would like to notify you that the Governing Body at English Martyrs Catholic Primary School are considering joining the Magnificat Academy. Please can you share this with the church community. Consultation starts on Monday 31st January 2022 and will close on Friday 25th February 2022. There is a consultation page on the school website from Monday 31st January 2022 which will  provide FAQ and a form for consultation responses.

THE NICENE CREED- I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all  things visible and invisible. I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of  the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not  made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made. For us men and for our  salvation he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and  became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried,  and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is  seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead  and his kingdom will have no end. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who  proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who  has spoken through the prophets. I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church.  I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead  and the life of the world to come. Amen
