I love writing. I prefer writing these posts in longhand and then when I am able, I transfer the words here onto this blog. I have always enjoyed writing thank you notes and Christmas cards too.
Some say writing, putting words together on a page, is a gift. I must agree and there are many of you who check in on my blog from time to time who are amazing gifted writers. When I write alongside and for the LORD, I often see HIS guidance in my posts. I usually come up with a title and then wonder what journey HE will take me on to teach me what I need to learn. And often I learn so much!
When we write down scripture it will be remembered more than we think. Writing HIS Word on our pages, flows into our hearts and minds. Otherwise how else do we learn HIS commands?
WRITE HIS WORDS DOWN AND ALWAYS MAKE THEM VISIBLE.
Our eyes see, then our hearts embrace. The more we see, the more we draw near to the ONE who came to save us! Proverbs tells us to "pay attention to HIS words."
PROVERBS 4: 21 "DON'T LOSE SIGHT OF THEM."
When we close our Bibles let's have a place where HIS words are written down, to constantly remind us. I have a friend who has a blackboard that says: verse of the day. She writes down frequently and can remember by gazing at that spot.
LET HIM WRITE HIS WORDS ON YOUR LIFE AND TREASURE THEM.

Write them, cherish them, study them, learn all about them. But write them somewhere to remind you because we tend to forget. I'm afraid in our business we drift from GOD and have a type of soul amnesia. So HIS word written somewhere to remind our hearts and minds is important.
I'm afraid in all our comings and goings we forget who JESUS is, HIS miraculous birth and why HE died on the Cross for us.
I'm afraid that in all our writings in our calendars, we have not penciled in JESUS and HIS amazing promises to us.
PSALM 119: 54 "YOUR STATUTES ARE THE THEME OF MY SONG DURING MY EARTHLY LIFE."
I recently purchased a five year journal, yes five years. I am planning on writing a scripture each day and then write what it means and how I can it embrace on that day. I don't journal very well so this is a simple intentional act that I know I can make a habit of.
PSALM 119: 47 "I DELIGHT IN YOUR COMMANDS WHICH I LOVE."
Writing HIS word is a form of praise and worship. HIS words are light and hope and love for us, and when we write them down it is an intentional adoration of the ONE true GOD!
PSALM 119: 130 "THE UNFOLDING OF YOUR WORDS GIVES LIGHT, IT GIVES UNDERSTANDING TO THE SIMPLE."
During this Christmas season to come, let's write them, write them. Write HIS words down all over the house as a reminder to revere HIM daily. Let not your awe and wonder grow cold. Write HIS scriptures and cling to them, the only wonderful TRUTH there is!
PSALM 119: 89 "LORD YOUR WORD IS FOREVER; IT IS FIRMLY FIXED IN HEAVEN."
