We tried something new on the Lambcast for Thanksgiving weekend. Instead of looking at a specific film or a particular year, we went in search of a decade. Nostalgia reigns on this episode as we explore the 1990s using a different kind of filter. Our guests were asked to bring a top ten list of films released from mid November to the end of the year from any time during the decade.
We got a list of 35 movies from six different people but there was always going to be some overlap. The phrase pineapple kiosk has never been spoken so often on a Lambcast. The guests did seem to coalesce around a top five list for the whole episode (top six really), and pretty easily since these were the films most frequently mentioned. Still, there were a number of outliers that were worth talking about as well.
Howard Casner sat in for Richard, who even though he was on the road, included his list by proxy. Howard kept everything honest with a few curveball selections, but Jeanette Ward kept pace with him. Adam Call Roberts and Tyler Howat return to the show and brought their favorites as well as their fresh attitude to the show. Todd Liebenow tried to keep everyone corralled but much like Kermit, failed.
Did your preferred films from those time frames make the list and what did we think about them? Download and stream to find out
