For the first time in months, yesterday seemed like a normal day. Well, the new normal anyway. I logged into work and attended meetings, went to lunch, had dinner at home, and watch the Voice. Ricky decorated the tree while I was working. I finished it up once I was through. It was a typical if not normal day.

There were a few things to get stressed about but they came into place. The new security door is supposed to be installed in 2 weeks after a long delay. The washing machine part came and the repairman will return to install it on Friday. We made our Christmas reservations in Las Vegas. We do Christmas early with our son and his family because it is easier then being there on the actual holiday. This leaves us alone. We will be home for Christmas, such as it is, and leave for Las Vegas the day after (when everyone else is returning their gifts). I love the way they decorate the Bellagio for Christmas and it is a much shorter drive from here then it was from Reno. But that traffic can be a killer, another reason for waiting till the day after. And then we want to get the heck out of there before New Years. That is a true mess with amateur drinkers in the casinos and on the roads.

So, what is there left to stress about? Well, we have a string of visitors between now and then. We have presents to purchase, wrap and deliver. We have house cleaning to do. But I am not going to let this stuff get to me. After all that we have been through this should be a walk in the park.

New tree - Point of fact, tile floors are unforgiving when you drop an ornament. Ouch!
