Satan loves to confuse people, but he takes particular delight in confusing Christians.
He takes advantage of every opportunity. His goal is always the same. Get people to feel deprived and believe someone other than God can give them what they want.
If Satan were advising his demons how to trip us up, he might say this.
"Humans are a needy bunch. Get any of them talking and they will tell you how they have been screwed.
Hop on that.
Agree with them. Pile on the 'ain't it awful' way of thinking. Let them feel the full weight of being powerless for awhile.
And then bring out someone who looks powerful. Give your hero a script the people can relate to.
Have him say,
'Look at what they did to me.
Look at how strong I am to overcome it.
If they did it to me, they will do it to you. Think of how you have been screwed too.
We are all victims together. We have to stand together against them.'"
Satan would tell his demons, "This next part is crucial. The people must blame someone.
Find some people they can blame by name for their lot in life.
Give them a focus point for their misery. Name calling is good. Call them by name. Call them enemies. Call them any unflattering names. Make them look as awful as you can.
Then do a quick cut back to your hero. Have him review how he himself has been screwed. If possible, have some added visual effects. That's always a good attention getter.
Have your hero tell the people their enemies are coming for them, but all is not lost. The hero can save them."
Satan would say, "Christians love the idea of a savior. They love thinking someone can carry their burdens and heal their wounds. But you must not let them think of Jesus.
This is a crucial part of my 'bait and switch' plan. Let them have their Christian thoughts, but you must keep Jesus out of this. The people must only focus on themselves, people who think like them and , of course, the hero.
It's a slam dunk."
Now, my Christian friends, don't fall for satan's deadly tricks. Remember we have constant access to a real Savior, who can heal our wounds and truly solve any problem.
Keep your eyes fixed firmly on Jesus. He will guide you by leading you in Love, Joy and Peace. He is more than a hero. He is our Genuine Savior.
Jesus said,
I have come that you may have Life and have it to the full!
John 10:10
I have told you this so that My Joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete!
