There are really two award seasons a year, one in January to March when nomination season is in full swing with the Hugo Awards and Nebulas and the other July to September when finalist and then winners are announced. The IGNYTES have a closed jury-led nomination process followed by open voting. That's a smart approach and each year these awards have hit a sweet spot of things I've read and loved mixed with things I've meant to read and things that were new to me.
Here's this year's IGNYTE finalists from FIYAH magazine: https://ignyteawards.fiyahlitmag.com/vote/ Voting closes August 31st at 11:59pm eastern time.
