Listen for God's still small voice It's a wonderful story in this series. Cindy hasn't joined the church and feels disconnected because of her mother's death. She meets the farmhand next door (Not Amish) and they form a friendship that soon turns into love. So this is a coming-of-age story slightly advanced. They get married and the family shuns her. She has a miscarriage and her husband reaches out to her family. Long story, a good ending, they join the Amish community together.
