| Russell & Styers Oct 29 | Yes, I spelled that right, not altered but altared. God's will took Jesus to the cross and cost Him His life and the will of God will also take us to the cross and cost us our lives when we offer ourselves as a living sacrifices to Him. His will is when we give of ourselves freely, it's having no agenda to it other than wanting to do God's will. When we truly seek to do His will and not our own, that's when our hearts become "altared" hearts, hearts that are placed on the altar of God, for God. We let go of our will and our ways so we can focus on His way and will. "Who, being in very nature Jesus, did not consider equality with God something to be used to His own advantage; rather, He made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled himself by becoming obedient to death, even death on a cross!" (Phil. 2:5-8). | | | | You can also reply to this email to leave a comment. | | | | |
