I have been going back and reading some of my blog posts from 2021 and 2022. I came across one from August 2021. This is what I wrote at that time; 'Currently there are large fires blazing away and destroying homes and forests. earthquakes also bringing destruction, heavy rain bringing flooding and extreme heat bringing drought'. Apart from the earthquakes everything else is the same. So what are we doing about our changing climate?
Over the last year, governments have made resolutions to reduce energy consumption and work towards what they call net zero but it all seems to be words which are meaningless and come countries have already decided to do things they said they would not do. This includes the UK.
Our water system has not changed either and sewage is still going into the rivers and the sea, killing fish and other water life. I use a Zero Water filter and it came with a test kit. I was amazed to see that the water from my tap was extremely contaminated with metals and other stuff but this filter gets rid of most of it. It made me stop drinking water from the tap!
The air around us is still contaminated too from vehicle exhausts and mobile phone masts. No wonder people including many children have so many allergy problems.
I understand that we can't do everything we want to do all at once but every little bit helps and if you can only do one thing like recycle stuff then that is a good start. But there is more we can all do although I feel many people are just not interested. Will they want to change when they realise it is too late or will they still think they do not need to change? What are your thoughts? Would you miss seeing what is in the photo below?
