Christ the Rock of Salvation
All we like sheep have gone astray;
We have turned, every one, to his own way;
And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
Isaiah 53:6 NKJV
Many say, "I am too sinful for God to forgive me." This statement is a lie of hell. You are not too sinful to receive the forgiveness of God. In fact you are already forgiven. Isaiah said, "And the Lord (God the Father) has laid on Him (Jesus the Son of God) the iniquity (all the sins ever committed or will be committed against God) of us all (including you)."
This blanket forgiveness of all is proclaimed by Jesus moments before He died on the cross.
"Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth. After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, 'I thirst!' So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, 'It is finished!' And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit."
John 19:28-30 NKJV
The fulfillment of the promise of forgiveness was accomplished 2,023 years ago when Jesus became sin for us and died the punishment for us. It is finished! Salvation and forgiveness is accomplished for everyone. It is a gift from God. To get it you must believe it, your sins are forgiven already.
For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame." For "whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."
Romans 10:10-13 NKJV
Do not let foolish pride keep you from God's forgiveness! Believe in Jesus and call upon His name and you will be saved. You are not too sinful for Christ's work of salvation.
