Read the whole thing. It's not what you think when you first start reading it.
When you go to an event, where do you like to sit? Do you get a seat up front, couple rows back, in the middle or do you end up in a seat furthest away? Are you wanting to sit close to be able to see and hear better? Are you wanting to be closer because of who it is that you came to see? Are you disappointed when you must sit in the middle section or seats furthest away? Why am I asking all these questions?
It's because this is how we should be when it comes to our walk with God. We should want to be as close to Him as we can. As much as we want to be closer when we go to see someone here on earth, that's how we should be with Him. Yes, there is a price, a cost, and the closer you get the higher the cost but it's worth it. You see, the Bible tells us life will not be easy. That we will have trials and tribulations, but the Bible also tells us that there is a reward when we stand the test. When we seek the seat closest to Him. When our will is not important but His will is everything.
Seek the front seat when it comes to God. You see, the closer you are to Him, the less room there is for anything to get between you and Him. I want a front seat when it comes to being with Him. I want His will and His way in my life. Don't you?
James 1:12 "Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him."
