Many magicians use the technique of distracting you for just a minute from what you know is the truth to look at what they present as the illusion.
Satan uses the same technique. He uses bits and pieces of our every day world to change anxiety into fear.
Someone once said FEAR stands for False Evidence Appearing Real.
Satan has tried this technique on me for a couple of weeks now.
I have had visual challenges throughout my life.
God has repeatedly delivered me from very real eye problems. Every chapter has ended and begun with "And then God delivered me. All Praise and Thanksgiving to Him!"
Recently on what I thought was just going to be a routine consultation, a new problem was discovered. Anxiety set in all over again.
However right away God reassured me in various up close and personal ways. One of those that made me smile was a Pinterest Message encouraging me to pin more things.
I have not posted on Pinterest for years, but amazingly I have received several messages from them over the past couple of weeks that said, "You have a good eye!"
Satan knew the battle was on. So he did what he does. He presented false evidence that appeared real.
Things suddenly seemed much darker in a room. I panicked. It turned out three light bulbs had burned out in the ceiling light.
The deck seemed unusually dark. It turned out we had had miscommunication about who was turning on the light. The light was off.
Tonight I had another panic attack when I looked at our usually reliable digital clock and discovered I could not see anything on the display. It turned out the battery on the clock had died.
As I continue to be evaluated by the medical world for what they believe is a problem, God is teaching me again about His Truth and satan's lies.
I share to say, "Be on guard. Do not believe the illusionist. Believe God!"
And please pray for my complete healing and that I not keep falling to temptation to believe anything other than what God said. I have good eyes!
